Uitgever THQ Nordic kwam de afgelopen jaren vaak in het nieuws, vooral omdat ze franchises van andere uitgevers overkopen. Nu komt THQ Nordic weer met een aankondiging maar dit keer gaat het niet om franchises maar studios.
THQ Nordic zal de studios Gunfire Games en Milestone S.r.l. overnemen. De laatstgenoemde staat bekend op de racegames MotoGP, MXGP, RIDE en Monster Energy Supercross. Gunfire Games is een wat grotere studio met momenteel 63 werknemers. Deze studio staat bekend om de Darksiders-serie. Met de overname zijn alle IP’s van deze twee studio’s, ook eigendom geworden van THQ Nordic.
