Uitgever Electronic Arts en ontwikkelaar Codemasters zijn begonnen met het uitrollen van update 1.15 voor de populaire racegame F1 23.
Dit is een behoorlijke update voor raceliefhebbers, want het F2 2023 seizoen wordt met de update aan de game toegevoegd inclusief alle nieuwe auto’s en de actuele coureurs waaronder Théo Pourchaire, Frederik Vesti, Ayumu Iwasa, Arthur Leclerc en Enzo Fittipaldi. Spelers kunnen deelnemen aan F2-evenementen in Career, F1 World en Multiplayer-spelmodi.
Update 1.15 komt ook met een sports update. Deze komt met vernieuwingen wat betreft sponsoren, kleuren, auto’s en carrosserie. De volledige lijst met veranderingen kan hier worden bekeken em de volledige patch notes van update 1.15 zijn onderin dit artikel te vinden.
“We hebben nauw samengewerkt met de Formula 1®-teams om onze Sports Update te realiseren. Ieder team heeft unieke aanpassingen aan zijn auto’s gedaan, waaronder op het gebied van geometrie, bodywork en sponsoren. Deze veranderingen zijn nu ook terug te vinden in de game, waardoor fans er zeker van zijn dat ze de meest authentieke F1® race-ervaring voorgeschoteld krijgen. Daarnaast kondigen we met trots aan dat het Formula 2-seizoen, bestaande uit 14 races, wordt toegevoegd,” vertelt Lee Mather, Senior Creative Director bij Codemasters.
F1® 23-spelers kunnen deze week bovendien uitkijken naar nog meer toevoegingen. De onlangs aangekondigde ‘Home Race’ Haas-livery, coureurskleding en schoenen, ontworpen voor het team om te gebruiken tijdens de FORMULA 1 LENOVO UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX 2023 zullen worden toegekend aan degenen die het Nico Hülkenberg Scenario Event voltooien tussen 17 tot 23 oktober*. “We zijn enthousiast om een thuisraceweek te vieren in samenwerking met EA SPORTS F1® 23, een primeur voor ons als team. We hopen dat de spelers genieten van het voltooien van de challenge en de speciale livery die zij hiermee kunnen verdienen,” zei Mark Morell, Director of Marketing, MoneyGram Haas F1 Team.
F1 23 is verkrijgbaar voor de PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One en de PC.

Patch Notes F1 23 update 1.15
Here are the changes that will be made with this patch:
- Addition of the F2™ 2023 season in-game
- Addition of ‘F1® Pro Series’ drivers to the Icon driver pool in My Team
- Sports Update for F1® 23, changes to vehicle geometry, bodywork, sponsors, colours, and team attire have all been made
- Fixed an issue where the Singapore Grand Prix was incorrectly 61 laps instead of 62
- Fixed an issue where it was possible to get ‘Speeding under the Safety Car’ penalties when entering the pits with a negative delta time
- Fixed an incorrect bump on the pitlane entry of Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, potentially unsettling the car
- Fixed an issue with corner cutting and track limits at the Las Vegas Strip Circuit. This necessitates TT leaderboards for Las Vegas to be reset in this patch
- Fixed an issue where the front suspension on the official cars was not attached to the wheel
- Fixed an issue where textures on top of the halo were not correct on the Ferrari SF-23
- General Stability Improvements
- Various Minor Fixes
